Shizuko is a native of Japan who studied with Sanji Nomi, a well known Japanese painter. She moved to California and continued studying with various artists, including E. John Robinson, a nationally known sea and landscape artist, and Dr. Shozo Sato, a master calligrapher and well-known expert on Japanese arts.
