Artist's Statement

"I believe that we each have a special gift. If we are fortunate enough to live a life that expresses our gift then we fulfill our destiny; we complete ourselves. Painting is one way that I honor my gift.

"Working intuitively, I never know what a painting is going to look like until it is finished. Using iconographic imagery I let my paintings reveal themselves in the moment as I paint. They are stories that spring from my imagination, heart, soul and life; telling of love, spiritual pursuit, personal journeys, moments of perfect grace, disappointment, loss and finally, hope.

"Beginning but never finishing these narratives, I invite the viewer to borrow my imagery to create their own story, add their own meaning, and thus continue a shared journey of discovery."
